Dhumal's mother-in-law dies

Shimla, Jun 11 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal's mother-in-law Amro Devi passed away after a brief illness today, family sources said.

She was 70.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters, the sources said.

Amro Devi was being taken to PGI, Chandigarh when she passed away at Anu in this district due to cardic arrest.

The sources said her mortal remains were consigned to fire later in the evening.

State Education Minister I D Dhiman, Transport Minister Kishen Kapoor, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramesh Dhawala, Health Minister Rajeev Bindal and Urmil Thakur and Tejwant Negi, both MLAs, were prominent among others who attend the cremation.

State Governor V S Kokje, state party president Jai Ram Thakur, BJP leaders and several others condoled her death.
