Central Railway to operate mega block on Sunday

Mumbai, Jun 6 (UNI) The Central Railway (CR) will operate a mega block on June 8, on its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work.

According to a CR release here, on Down Harbour line, the block will be operational between Masjid and Chunabhatti stations and on Up and Dn Harbour line between Wadala and Mahim stations from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs. All Dn Harbour line services for Panvel/Belapur/Vashi, leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) from 1039 hrs to 1557 hrs, will run via Main line between CST and Kurla. The trains will further be diverted on Dn Harbour line proper, which will not halt at Chinchpokli and Currey Road stations.

The Up Harbour line services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi to CST will run on Up Harbour line proper, while Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Andheri, leaving CST from 1043 hrs to 1553 hrs, and Up Harbour line services towards CST, leaving Bandra/ Andheri between 1036 hrs and 1551 hrs, will be suspended.

Harbour line passengers for Bandra/Andheri are allowed to travel via Main line and Western railway on their valid card/season tickets from 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs on June 8.

Similarly, Up local line services, leaving Kalyan between 1024 hrs and 1625 hrs, will run on Up fast line between Kalyan and Diva stations, halting at Dombivli station.

Up slow local line services will not be available for Thakurli, Kopar and Diva stations during the block period.

The passengers for the affected stations are permitted to travel via Dombivli and Mumbra stations in Dn direction on their valid card/season tickets during the block period, the release added.
