Mumbai, June 4 (UNI) The metropolis experienced light pre-monsoon showers last evening.
India Meteorological Department Deputy Director General Dr C V V Bhadram told UNI that the showers, which were a regular phenomenon due to heat and high humidity, could continue over the next 24 hours in the city and its suburbs.
Dr Bhadram said the Southwest monsoon had arrived upto Karvar near Goa. ''We are waiting and watching the situation,'' he said.
The temperature in the metropolis, meanwhile, would hover around 35 degrees Celsius.
