Maharashtra: Lightning at Nashik kills boy
Nashik, May 29: A 16-year-old boy was killed by lightning as stormy rains lashed Rajapur and Mamdapur areas in Yeola taluka of the district last evening.
The victim, Yogesh Sampat Algat, resident of Rajapur, had gone to collect clay from a small dam in Bhalur, Nandgaon taluka. He was struck by lightning and died on the spot.
Meanwhile, due to rains, many trees and electric poles were uprooted. The rain continued for nearly two hours relieving people from the scorching heat.
