Cement production falls in Mawmlah-Cherra factory
Shillong, May 27: The production at Mawmluh Cherra Cement Limited (MCCL) in Meghalaya has decreased to 200 MT from 700 MT alst year.
MCCL sources said the cement production has gone down considerably since last the last few years due to lack of modern machineries and expertise.
The plant at present producing about 200 MT, about 500 MT less than its earlier production, causing a problem in meeting the demands of the market.
The sources, however, informed that the management was soon going to take certain initiatives to modernise the plant.
