3 killed, 17 injured in Kashmir road accidents
Srinagar, May 12 (UNI) Three people were killed and 17 others injured in road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said two people identified as Pawan Kumar and S P Singh were injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a bus coming from opposite direction at Batangoo, Anantnag in south Kashmir.
The injured were admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) here where Singh died.
One Ghulam Hassan Rather was killed on the spot when a Tata sumo dashed with a parked truck at Shampora crossing on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. Two others were injured in the accident.
A motorcyclist Farooq Ahmad Salathi, who was admitted to SKIMS in a critical condition after he was injured in a road accident at Sonawar on May 9, died this morning.
They said 15 others were injured in other road accidents in the valley overnight. The injured were admitted to different hospitals.
