TADA court to hear Salem's plea tomorrow
Mumbai, Apr 27 (UNI) The designated TADA court will hear tomorrow the plea of gangster Abu Salem, challenging the deposition of one of the witnesses in the separate 1993 blast trial case who is the public relations officer of the passport issuing office in Lucknow.
The plea was moved by Salem on April 25 through his lawyer Sudeep Pasbola stating that the witness has no relevance as passport was issued to him after the serial blast in 1993.
On the previous ocassion while CBI wanted the witness to be examined by the court, Salem took objection following which his deposition was deferred till tomorrow.
Earlier, an immigration officer who had cleared the immigration of the don on November 11, 2005 while he was extradited from Portugal had deposed before the court and recorded his statments.
