Diwakar Raote is Sena's group leader in upper house
Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) Senior Shiv Sena leader and former minister Diwakar Raote was today named as the party group leader in the Maharashtra Legislative Council.
His name was announced by chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh after the post fell vacant following the expiry of Madhurkar Sarpotdar's term today.
Known as a farmers leader, Raote had in past organised several morchas to highlight the plight of farmers in the state.
