Yana makes singing debut in UK-based Punjabi singer's album

Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) Czech beauty Yana Gupta, who had created waves in Bollywood item numbers is now making her singing debut in UK-based Punjabi singer Dr Zeus's Album.

Titled 'Back Unda The Influence', the album has Yana crooning two songs ''Aag Ka Dariya'' and ''Na Koi Khayal'' for which, Yana has teamed up with singer Shortie aka Little Fox, who is known for slightly ludicrous style of singing rap.

Yana has herself penned the lyrics of the two songs. The lyrics have a few Punjabi words as well. She has also shot a music video.

Speaking to Newsperson at the album's release ceremony here recently, Yana had said, ''I play guitar, I write poetry and so writing songs comes obvious to me.'' Yana, who catapulted to fame with her item song 'Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo', said that she has been working on a jazz album for the last few years. However, the album had to be scrapped. Instead she is now coming up with a solo English pop album at UK soon.

While she gets busy with her music career, Yana is not saying goodbye to Bollywood. On her wishlist is an out-and-out musical film in which she could sing, dance and act as well.
