Mumbai, Apr 4: Maharashtra Civil Supplies Minister Sunil Tatkare today said all the ration cards in the state will be computerised soon. Replying to a discussion on inflation, he said there were 2.16 crore ration cards in the state.

Last year, as many as 27 lakh bogus ration cards were found, he said, adding that computerisation will bring transparency. The cards will have details about the family and the residential area with the code number and will be valid for ten years.
