"I am your brother, I will listen to you" Rahul assures Orphans
Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) Striking an emotional chord with the future generation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today assured children, particularly orphaned, that he is always there as a brother and 'no orphaned child should cry thinking that there is nobody to listen to him or her.
He said, ''I was very much pained when an orphaned boy of a School for Orphans in Raichur sang a song saying that I have no father, no mother, no brother and no sisters to take care of me and there is no one to listen to me''.
''I want to assure the children, particularly orphans, that I am always with them and I am brother of those who don't have anybody to look after them and listen to them,'' Mr Gandhi said adding that ''It was a welcome song and I don't want any children should sing this song anymore because I am always there to support and listen to them.'' ''It is not correct to sing the song because I am your brother and this is a dream I tell the people of Karnataka that no children should this song anymore.'' emotioned Congress leader said.
Mr Gandhi was sharing his experience of five-day tour of Karnataka at a public meeting here before winding up his tour of the State.
