Kamat's resignation accepted; Singh gets temporary charge of MRCC
New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi has accepted the resignation of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC) president and party MP Gurdas Kamat and appointed senior vice-president R R Singh as acting president in his place with immediate effect.
The announcement was made here this evening by party general secretary (Organisation) Janardan Dwivedi.
