Indefinite strike of Bihar lawyers enters fourth day
Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Legal activities in all civil courts in Bihar came to a grinding halt as the state wide 'indefinite' strike by more than 10,000 lawyers entered the fourth day today.
The strike, called by the Bihar Civil Lawyers Association (BCLA), was to press for reduction of court fees and improvement in the working condition of lawyers.
Congratulating the members for their 'overwhelming support', the BCLA spokesman here reiterated their decision to 'gherao' the Assembly tomorrow in protest against the government's 'apathetic attitude' towards meeting their 'just' demands.
An emergency meeting of the BCLA had been convened here tonight to discuss the future course of action in case the authorities failed to meet their demands, the spokesman added.
