No report of death of animals/birds during shooting of 'Jodha-Akbar
New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) The government today denied that some of the animals and birds used during the shooting of Bollywood feature film 'Jodha-Akbar' died or fell sick on account of their improper care.
In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Environment and Forests Namo Narain Meena said no such incident was brought to the notice of the Central Government during the shooting of the film.
He was replying to a query from BJP member Shantaram Laxman Naik.
Mr Meena said the government did not receive any complaint in this matter.
The minister informed that there were laws to deal with cruelty to animals, and these included The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
