Leopard kills 10 lambs in Kuriala village
Una, Feb 27 (UNI) Panic struck in Kuriala village when a leopard killed 10 lambs and injured six others late last evening.
The lambs were a part of the flock of sheep belonging to shepherds Raj Kumar, Kewal Singh and Ranjha Rana from Chamba district.
Dr V B Joshi, Deputy Director of the Una Animal Husbandry department said a veterinary doctor was immediately rushed to the Kuriala dispensary for treating the injured lambs.
Village Panchayat Pardhan Asha Rani has demanded compensation to the shepherds. She also demanded adequate security in the area to avoid such attacks by the wild beasts.
