Two policemen suspended in stone pelting case on CM
Biharsharif, Feb 12 (UNI) Two police officers were suspended today on charges of dereliction of duty in the stone pelting case on the chief minister during his Nalanda visit on Friday.
Official sources here said, D N Rai, Inspector, Rajgir circle, and Pramod Kumar Rai, Officer In-charge, Rajgir Police station, were placed under suspension with immediate effect by the IG(Patna range) Rajvardhan Sharma.
A group of villagers at Pilkhi near here had protested against the alleged inadequate compensation for the acquisition of their lands for the proposed Nalanda International University and pelted stones on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
