Uddhav Thackeray gets re-elected as Sena executive president
Mumbai, Jan 21 (UNI) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray was today re-elected as executive president of the party at a meeting held at the Shiv Sena Bhavan here.
The 48-year-old leader, who is the youngest son of Sena chief Bal Thackeray, first became the executive president at the party's convention at Mahabaleshwar in 2003. At that time, his name was proposed by his cousin Raj Thackeray, who later fell apart and floated his political party. However, today, his name was proposed by senior Sena leader Manohar Joshi.
Present at the meeting, besides Mr Joshi, were several senior party leaders like Sudhir Joshi, Leeladhar Dake, Madhukarrao Sarpotdar, Dattaji Nalavade, Ramdas Kadam, Subhash Desai, Diwakar Raote, Sanjay Raut and Gajanan Kirtikar.
Apart from them, there were deputy leaders like Anant Geete, Suryakant Mahadik, Vilas Avachat, Ravindra Mirlekar, Ram Bhankarl, Suresh Prabhu, Chandrakant Khaire, Anandrao Adsul, Vinod Ghosalkar, Vishwanath Nerurkar, Anant Tare, Baban Gholap, Anil Rathod, Gulabrao Patil, Ashok Shinde, Yashvant Jadhav, Raja Chaugule, Dashrath Shirke, Ramesh Khade, Vijat Kadam, Dr Neelam Gorhe, Vishakha Raut and Meena Kambli.
