N Westerlies maintain chill in Delhi, mercury rises to 8 Deg C
New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) Cold Northwesterly winds today maintained the chill in the air in Delhi even as the mercury dropped to eight Degree Celsius.
For the third consecutive day, strong Northwesterlies winds lent a chill to the air in the city even though the minimum temperature rose to eight Degree Celsius, one degree above normal.
The maximum also rose to 21.5 Degree C, from 20.5 Degree C yesterday.
Visibility levels remained normal with visibility of 1500 m recorded in the morning.
The coming days could witness further abatement in the chill with the weathermen forecasted a rise in minimum temperature to nine degree C tomorrow.
The Met office has forecasted mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the possibility of light mist in the morning.
