CPI candidate files nomination for Simaria bypoll
Chatra, Jan 14 (UNI) CPI candidate Ramchandra Ram today filed his nomination paper for the February four Simaria Assembly bypolls.
Sub Divisional Officer-cum-electoral officer Bhagwan Das here said that it was the first nomination filed so far.
The notification for the bypoll, which was necessitated following the death of BJP's Upendra Nath Das, was issued on January 10.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) and RJD had announced to extend their support to Mr Ram.
The last date of filing nomination is January 17 and withdrawal is on January 21.
Counting of votes would take place on February seven.
