Doubling to affect rail service in Titlagarh-Rayagada section
Bhubaneswar, Jan 7 (UNI) Train services will be affected in Titlagarh Rayagada railway sections under Sambalpur Division of the East Coast Railway(ECoR) following the commissioning of doubling work.
ECoR sources here said the doubling between Titlagarh and Kesinga and Norla Road and Lanjigarh Road railway stations would be taken up from January 7 to 14.
As a result, train services will be cancelled, short-terminated and controlled partially during the period.
The 227 Raipur-Visakhapatnam Passenger will be short-terminated at Kantabanji and will run as 228 Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger from Kantabanji to Raipur.
The train will be cancelled between Kantabanji and Rayagada on January 9. Similarly, 228 Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger will be short-terminated at Rayagada and will run as 227 Raipur-Visakhapatnam passenger from Rayagada to Visakhapatnam. It would be cancelled between Rayagada and Kantabanji on January 9.
The 8005 Howrah-Sambalpur-Koraput Samaleswari Express will be controlled at Titlagarh, while the Koraput-Sambalpur-Howrah Samaleswari Express will be controlled at Rayagada on January 9.
