MP bags top spot in health review

Welfare
Ministry
review
has
accorded
top
spot
to
Madhya
Pradesh
for
the
second
successive
year
when
it
comes
to
availability
of
health
facilities,
state
Health
Minister
Ajay
Vishnoi
said.
''This state's achievements have been praiseworthy in implementing the Reproductive and Child Health programme and National Rural Health Mission,'' he claimed before reporters here yesterday.
Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss praised Madhya Pradesh last year over positive results in these two programmes. Madhya Pradesh earned 12 points, Assam 10, Mizoram, Sikkim and Uttarakhand 9 each, Manipur and Tripura 8 each, Arunachal Pradesh and Orissa 7 each, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh 6 each.
