About a dozen shops, a vehicle gutted in Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 20 (UNI) About a dozen shops and a vehicle were gutted in Kashmir overnight, official sources said.
They said a fire broke in main market at Qamarwari in the down town area early this morning. However, before the fire tenders could reach the spot, the flames engulfed about a dozen shops, destroying property worth crores of rupees.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said a car caught fire near Jabla bridge at Uri, about 100 km from here today. However, the occupants escaped unhurt.
