Patil to inaugurate 'National Science Exhibition' tomorrow

Puducherry, Dec 20 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will inaugurate the ''National Science Exhibition'' in the Union Territory of Puducherry tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference here today, Senior Superintendent of Police B Srikanth and Information and Publicity Department Director Chandrasekeran said if there was no rain tomorrow, Ms Patil would arrive at the Oupplam helipad at 1340 hrs where Lt Governor Mukut Mithi, Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Chief Secretary Ragesh Bihari and DGP Khan would receive her. Immediately, she would proceed to the Raj Nivas here.

If it rains tomorrow, the President would reach Puducherry by road.

They said the territorial administration was making all arrangements to organise the exhibition by the NCERT.

Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development Purandeswari would also accompany the President.

On the occasion, some cultural programmes would be organised at Raj Nivas.

Before deaving for Chennai, Ms Patil would visit the Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville here.
