Chandigarh, Dec 19 (UNI) The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has decided to give incentive to the persons who would help in recovery of the defaulting amount from the permanently disconnected consumers.
A UHBVN spokesman today said on recovery of full amount prior to the period January 1, 2000, an incentive of ten per cent would be given and the period after January 1,2000, an incentive of five per cent would be given.
The Nigam had also directed Superintending Engineers to supply the lists of defaulters prior to January 1, 2000 and after January 1, 2000 to the respective Deputy Commissioners. These lists having details of the consumers would also be displayed on notice boards of sub divisional, divisional and circle offices for information of general public.
He said the Nigam had also decided not to release new connections to the dwellers occupying Government/HUDA land unauthorisedly. Similarly no electric connection would be released to the dwellers on land belonging to Municipal Committee/Panchayats in case these were taking steps to eject the illegal squatters or object to release of connection to the dweller.
Referring to release of permanent electric connection to the area developed by colonizers/developers in the Nigam's jurisdiction, he said, the colonizer/developer would be required to submit the layout plan to the Nigam for approval within a specified period of three months after release of temporary connection for construction.
They would also provide land or bear the cost of land jointly with other colonisers/developers in the area so that infrastructure was created to handle their ultimate requirement.
Temorary connection would be allowed for a maximum period of three months and disconnected if the layout plan was not submitted in the stipulated time period, he added.
