Chiranjeevi asks fans to remain patient on his entrance in politics

Hyderabad, Dec 9 (UNI) Breaking silence over speculation in sections of the media that he was entering politics, Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi asked his supporters to remain patient till he makes an announcment on the issue.

In a brief statement, faxed to the media late last night here, Mr Chiranjeevi said ''I appeal to all my supporters to be patient till I make an announcement on this issue. I have not authorised any individual or organisation to act on my behalf''.

The fans and supporters of Mr Chiranjeevi were already holding rallies and meetings urging him to enter in politics, without any delay by floating a political party.

It also created a new hope among the votaries of a third alternative, who wanted the actor to lead a coalition of weaker sections' organisations, seeking a share in political power.

The issues have become a hot topic among major political parties like Congress, opposition Telugu Desam Party and Left Party leaders and they were closely ascertaining the impact of Chiranjeevi's entry in state politics.
