Hyderabad, Dec 6 (UNI) Observing the 15th anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition, the Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee (CMLC) and Darsgah -Jehad- o - Shahdat (DJS) organised a 'dharna' and rallies in the city today.

More than 200 CMLC volunteers participated in the day-long dharna and demanded that the Centre take immediate steps to reconstruct a Masjid at the same site.

Alleging that the Centre was not releasing the arrested people, who participated in the protest rallies after the demolition in 1992, the leaders asked the government to arrest the culprits in the masjid demolition case immediately.

The DJS workers took out a peace rally from the Old City and various parts of the state capital, observing it as a 'Black Day'.
