Tourists
are
thronging
a
hot
water
spring
near
Ringi
Van
Panchayat
situated
in
Chamoli
district
of
Uttarakhand,
amidst
a
magnificent
Himalayan
vista.
Declared as a protected site under Indian Forest Act 1927 and Van Panchayat Regulation 2001, the spring is considered a part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. The mud around the place also has medicinal qualities and is used for cosmetic purposes. Chamoli is studded with major pilgrim centres amidst snow-clad peaks and exceptional natural beauty.
