UHBVN to release pending tubewell connections in Rohtak

Chandigarh, Nov 26 (UNI) The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) would release all the pending tubewell connections of those applicants of Rohtak district who had deposited the full amount.

''Instructions have been given to release the connections on priority basis and the work will be completed on turn key basis,'' a UHBVN spokesman said today.

Most of the 145 pending connections where installation of new distribution transformers is required would be released during the current financial year.

Analysing the ongoing works being carried out in the district jointly by the UHBVN and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN), Lt Gen (Retd) O S Lohchab, Chairman, Haryana Power Utilities said that the domestic and tubewell load of 49 feeders of 11KV level supplying power to the villages would be segregated under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna (RGGVY) during the current year.

''It will benefit 146 villages of the district and the domestic consumers will get more power after segregation of feeders. The Nigam has also identified fifteen 11KV level heavily overloaded feeders including six in Rohtak town and nine in rural areas,'' he said.

The load on these feeders was more than 150 Amperes and it had been decided to bifurcate / trifurcate the feeders with heavy load to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
