Pilots injured in aircraft crash

Warangal, Nov 18 (UNI) A trainer and a trainee pilot were injured, when a two-seater trainer aircraft crashed and was gutted near Keshavapur village at Bachhannapet mandal in Warangal district today, following a technical snag.

Janagaon Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) V Sailu told UNI that the aircraft belonged to Indian Air Force Academy (IAFA).

Noticing the technical problem, the two pilots jumped out of the aircraft using parachutes. Both landed at Lingampalli village and were rushed to the nearby hospital.

Mr Sailu said the injured were identified as pilot trainer Syed Malik and trainee Ananda Kumar. Mr Malik was in a state of shock and not able to speak. Mr Anand had received severe injury on his hand.

Both were later taken to Hyderabad in a chopper for treatment.
