FIR named accused of scribe assault case sent to jail

Patna, Nov 6 (UNI) The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna today remanded Mukesh Singh, an FIR named accused in the case of alleged assault and wrongful confinement against a reporter of private national news channel, at the residence of JD (U) MLA Anant Kumar Singh, to judicial custody till November 19 next.

During the day the accused Mukesh Singh was produced by Patna police before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Raghvendra Prasad Singh after his arrest in the case yesterday.

Meanwhile, regular bail petitions of incarcerated accused in the case, Shivshankar Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Vipin Kumar Singh and Mukesh Singh were filed in the same court today and fixed for hearing on tomorrow.

JD (U) MLA Ananrt Kumat Singh is already lodged in jail in the same case after his arrest by Patna police on November 01,2007.
