No groupism in Congress Rajasthan unit: Mirdha

Jaipur, Nov 3 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Ram Niwas Mirdha today said there were some shortcomings in the party organisation in Rajasthan but no groupism as partymen were working unitedly to oust the BJP Government in the next assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Mirdha said, ''Ofcourse some shortcomings are there, room for improvement is also there but there is no groupism in the Rajasthan Congress organisation.'' He said new party state president CP Joshi and and new CLP leader Hemaram Chaudhary had started their task well and the party was being geared up to take on the BJP in the assembly elections due by the end of 2008.

He said the BJP Rajasthan unit was facing problems of dissidence, infightngs and this would, in turn, help the Congress in achieving the task.

He said he had never practiced Jat-oriented casteist politics and always worked to uphold the Congress policies and principles.
