Seized beef containers become headache for police
Shajapur, MP, Oct 29 (UNI) Security and maintenance of 22 beef containers seized by police recently is causing headache for the police.
The containers, carrying 300 metric tonnes of beef, were kept near Susner village. Trouble began when air-conditioning system of five containers stopped working.
Though technicians from New Delhi were called and the problem fixed, local villagers demanded removal of the containers from the area fearing outbreak of some disease.
The containers were seized from several trucks at Agra-Mumbai National Highway in this district on October 23 when it was being conveyed illegally to Mumbai for export purposes.
Ten truck drivers were arrested, while the rest were absconding.
