Two held for committing rape in Kathua
Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) Two people were arrested for allegedly raping a young woman in a remote village of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police today said.
The youths were arrested from village Lachhipur in Kathua.
Villagers locked the accused with the victim in the house where the later was being assaulted. On being informed police reached the spot and arrested the three.
Later, the woman told the police that she was forcibly taken to the house by one of the accused from whom she had taken a lift.
Later, two of his accomplices joined him and the three sexually assaulted her.
Those arrested have been identified as Zaffar Hussain, a resident of Phinter (Billawar) and Surjit Singh, of Mahanpur while the third was absconding, police said.
