Chinese intrude into Bhutan
New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Chinese troops have intruded Bhutanese territory and India has taken up the matter with both countries, official sources said today.
Denying reports about Chinese incursions into Indian territory in Sikkim, the sources said ''they have probably intruded into Bhutan. We are talking to both. Nothing has changed on the border with India...There is no cause for alarm.'' Bhutan which shares a 460 km border with China, faces frequent intrusions from Chinese.
The sources described the Chinese intrusion into Bhutan as part of Beijing's strategy to bring them (Bhutan) to the negotiating table.
''They do it every year. It is part of their strategy to force Bhutan to come to the negotiating table,'' the sources added.
