Nepalese man sells his wife in India

Kathmandu, Oct 3 (UNI) A man from eastern Nepal allegedly sold his wife in India for Rs 150,000, media reports said.

Tej Bahadur Rana has been arrested on charge of selling his wife in India four months ago, the state run 'The Rising Nepal' said.

Rana had sold his 17-year-old wife hailing from Sarikhet of Makawanpur district in eastern Nepal in Assam for Rs 150,000 four months ago.

Maiti Nepal Kakarvitta rescued Kamala who was taken to Assam by Rana and two others on the pretext of finding work in India.

The two other alleged accomplices, Ram Bahadur Tamang and Rakesh Tamang are at large. Rana was arrested on the basis of information of Kamala.
