Siliguri
town
was
lifted
today
as
peace
and
calm
prevailed
following
violence
sparked
by
India's
version
of
"American
Idol".
Shops and businesses in the city remained opened and normalcy resumed with no untoward incidents taking place. Violence had erupted on Friday when police clashed with supporters of the winner of 'Indian Idol', leaving at least 30 people injured.
