Tseipama, Sep 29 (UNI) Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has appealed to the people of the state to help him make Nagaland one of world's major tourist destinations.
While inaugurating a midway tourist resort on National Highway 39, about 50 kms from here yesterday, Mr Rio said tourism has now become the world's biggest industry. He urged the people of the state to gear up to showcase the rich heritage and culture of their land and help him keep up with the competition in the industry.
He invited people from all over the world to visit Nagaland and witness the splendour and grandeur of the land.
He also informed that the number of foreign as well as domestic tourists were increasing day by day and so the midway tourist resort had become a necessity.
He also said that all tourist amenities would soon be privatised to provide them with the best services and provide employment to local youths.
