Armed robbers loot Rs 4 lakhs from PNB branch
Dehri-On-Sone, Sep 28 (UNI) Dacoits looted nearly Rs 400,000 from the Itimaa branch of the Punjab National Bank near here today after holding the bank employees at gun point.
Detailing the incident police here said the five-member armed gang came on two motorcycles and raided the bank as soon as it opened. While two stood guard near the entrance,others forced the cashier and employees to open the vault at gun point.
While fleeing with the booty the robbers fired several rounds in the air to scare away onlookers, police said.
A police team rushed to the spot but none could be arrested.
Police has sealed all exit points of the town.
