Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Ghanshyam Binani Foundation, which gives away the Children's Bravery Awards, has invited nominations for the 7th edition of Awards 2006-07.
The Ghanshyam Binani Children's Bravery Awards, instituted in 2000 to mark the Birth Anniversary of Late Ghanshyam Binani.
aim to confer the Bravery Awards to young bravos of the nation, with a view to inculcate a spirit of courage and humanity amongst the young citizens, a press release issued here today said.
The Award consists of a Silver Medal, Citation and a Cash Reward of Rs 51,000 each for one male and one female winner.
The nominations should reach on or before October 30.
Act of the child should reflect Bravery against physical attack/violence or to save a human life risking his or her own life, Nominations should be backed by some authenticity in the form of documents/ appreciation or coverage of the incident in the media.
The act of bravery should be within the frame period of May one 2006 to April 30 2007 and the child must be less than 16 years at the time of the act. The decision of Award committee will be final, the release added.
