Former MLA Anil Gote gets bail in Telgi Stamp Scam case

Pune, June 30 (UNI) The Special MCOCA Court today granted bail on health ground and released two accused in the multi-crore stamp scam, former Samajwadi Janata Party MLA Anil Gote and PSI Laxman Suryavanshi who were lodged in Yerawada Jail in the case.

Special Judge Chitra Bhedi admitted their bail applications yesterday and granted bail today. Both the accused will get release from Jail tomorrow after completion of formalities.

Defence lawyer Mr Milind Pawar said Anil Gote was released on bail under a surety of Rs 10 lakh while the other accused Suryavanshi on surety of Rs 50,000.

Earlier, Prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi had been sentenced to 13 years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs 252.28 crore and in default additional 3 years jail running consecutively under various sections.
