Roaming bonanza for Reliance customers

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Reliance Communications today announced a roaming bonanza for its mobile suscribers, slashing the exsisting roaming rates for both its pre and post paid plans by almost 70 per cent.

Under the new roaming rates, on pre paid vouchers on outgoing roaming calls charges has been completely waived off. On incoming calls the charges has been reduced to Rs 1 from Rs 1.75 paise.

On post paid plans, the roaming rates has been reduced to Rs 40 paise from Rs 1.75 paise.

The new roaming rates are targetted towards frequently travelling high usage suscribers. With this new plan the company expects to tap the highly mobile business class.

After announcing the offer, Mr S P Shukla, President, Personal Business, Reliance communuications, said ''These new roaming rates offer array of choice to our customers to stay connected anywhere anytime without thinking of bills.'' This move of Reliance comes close on the heels of launching two low cost handsets and lifetime recharge voucher.

Reliance cut on roaming rates came in a time when its contenders in the mobile market are planning to go towards roam free plan.
