TCS with US-based Eli Lilly for advance clinical research
New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has formed an agreement with US-based corporation Eli Lilly and Company, engaged in developing pharmaceutical products to advance its clinical research and development in the country.
Under the agreement, TCS has established a new facility, 'Lilly-TCS medical information sciences centre' at its Noida site to house the staff working on Lilly projects.
Through this new centre, TCS will work with Lilly's medical information sciences disciplines to provide a wide range of services in clinical data management, statistical analysis and medical writing.
''The goal of our relationship with TCS has several dimensions beyond reducing cost and risk, including gaining access to a global talent pool, increasing flexibility and scalability of our resources and maintaining a global workflow that is operational 24 hours a day,'' Eli Lilly's Global Medical Information Sciences Group Director Steve Ruberg said.
TCS Life Sciences and Healthcare Executive Vice-President J Rajagopal said the Lilly-TCS project is anticipated to be a role model for the life sciences sector as it is designed to create mutual benefits based on collaboration and increased productivity within the two organisations.
