Day temp above normal, night temp below normal

Pune, Oct 29 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya and of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Goa and coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal in Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Haryana and Punjab. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Assam and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, They were appreciably above normal in north Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana, Saurashtra and Kutch and of west Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, Telangana and in some parts of Gujarat Region and Chattisgarh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Northeast monsoon has been vigorous over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Heavy to very heavy rain are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rain are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Lakshadweep and at a few places in coastal Karnataka and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Chattisgarh, south Konkan and Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at mainly dry weather prevail over the Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Very heavy rain have occurred at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rain have occurred at most places in Kerala and at a few places in Orissa and coastal Karnataka.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Lakshadweep.
