Chandigarh, Jun 14 (UNI) Rather than waiting for departmental letters or rushing to the state capital for confirmation of transfers, employees of the Haryana Education Department would now be able to see their fate on line while sitting at home.

A web-enabled list of transfers of the Department of Secondary Education was issued here yesterday in the presence of Haryana Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana and the Financial Commissioner.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister said all the vacant posts of the teachers in the state would be filled soon.

The transfers, listed online for the first time, were done on the basis of the choice of the employees, Commissioner and Director General School Education K K Khandelwal told media persons here.

Applications had been sought regarding three to four choices of place of posting of each employee earlier, he added.

Mr Khandelwal said out of the total 5,163 employees transferred, 4,046 were accommodated without displacement and 163 were transferred on mutual basis within a distance of eight km.

He said 76 per cent were given stations of their choice and only 24 per cent could not be adjusted. Those with long stay at a particular station had also been accommodated as per their choice of posting.

Principal Secretary Education Department R S Gujral said the department has given identity numbers to all the employees. The employee can enter his ID number and access his transfer orders accordingly from the internet website--web1.hry.nic.in/eduhrytrf or http://haryana.gov.in or ww.eduhrytrf.websmarthost.com.

After the transfers, vacancies would be known and for that guest faculty would be appointed.

Mr Khandelwal said in order to ensure transparency and a fair and just procedure, all the transfers had been carried out at one go.

All requests or notes which were received were considered and the entire process was automated to eliminate the subjective elements.
