WWE Rumour: Reason why Kane did not enter this year’s Royal Rumble

Kane is dealing with some injuries and was not medically fit to compete in the Royal Rumble match.

By Raja

Bengaluru, Feb 11: Kane might be the one who has the greatest performer in the history of Royal Rumble PPV.

He's been in this match for almost two decades. In fact, the Big Red Machine was a part of 19 Rumble matches after debuting in the year 1996. This is more than any other superstar present in the WWE locker room.

He also has a record 42 combined eliminations under his belt which is the most done by an individual. Plus, he also held the record of eliminating 11 superstars in a single Rumble match until it was broken by Roman Reigns in the year 2014.

With such a plethora of record under his belt, the fans were not pleased to see this man at this year's Royal Rumble match which was also named the biggest ever.

The reason behind his absence was broken by Dave Meltzer. He stated that the veteran superstar is dealing with some injuries and was not medically fit to compete in the Rumble match.

He is turning 50, this year and hence age is gradually making its presence felt on his body. This is the supposed reason why the creative omitted him from the entrance list.

This is also the same reason why he's been absent on Smackdown for quite a long time. He was gradually picking up some momentum on the blue brand after the brand split. But, unfortunately, the injuries sidelined him from being a part of the show.

At this time, his future is uncertain considering his age. This might have been his last Royal Rumble match in the Alamodome.

Next year, he will be turning to 51 and in that age, it's quite difficult to predict whether he would be able to compete for a long time in prestigious battle royal when it comes to Philadelphia.

The Big Red Monster has been one of the most trusted employees in the WWE. The legend needs a proper send-off and hence he should be back for one last stint.

But, this should happen at the earliest so that his body is capable of performing inside the squared circle for a significant time.
