World Cup 2015: Sri Lanka's 15-man squad announced

Colombo, Jan 7: Paceman Lasith Malinga was today named in Sri Lanka's 15-man ICC World Cup 2015 squad subject to fitness. The team will be led by all-rounder Angelo Mathews and includes senior batsmen Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. Lahiru Thirimanne was named vice-captain of the side.

Sri Lanka, finalists in previous two World Cups (2007 and 2011), will launch their campaign against co-hosts New Zealand on February 14, tournament's opening day, in Christchurch. The World Cup ends on March 29 with the final in Melbourne. Malinga underwent surgery on his ankle and is still recovering. (India squad)
