When Chris Gayle thanked 'legend' Amitabh Bachchan for his hospitality

Mumbai, Mar 29: The indomitable West Indies opener Chris Gayle became a fan of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's hospitality.

The star Jamaican batsman was invited by Big B over dinner for which the former was highly impressed.

Gayle took to social media (Twitter and Instagram) to post his images with Amitabh Bachchan and thanked the veteran actor for his hospitality.

The 36-year-old cricketer took to his Instagram account and shared a picture with the 73-year-old veteran actor and wrote, "What an absolutely legend, @amitabhbachchan Thanks for the invite and hospitality at your home, thanks also for the books. The boss wants me to score a 100 and India win but I would take the win rather than the 100 😊. #Love&Respect to a great man, Mr Bachchan. The wine & food.."

Big B too took to Twitter to reciprocate and wrote, "Did not know he was a fan, was my politest best, hoping he would repay the compliment on Thursday IndvWI."

Earlier on Mar 17, Big B praised the Jamaican batsman when he slammed an unbeaten 100 off 48 balls against England at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Big B even apologised to Gayle on Twitter for not meeting him after the match.

"T 2176 - CHRIS GAYLE incredulous ! Apologies for not being able to meet you in Mumbai, and to listen to my songs from you. Saw game ! WOAH !"

After this tweet from Big B, Gayle was quick to reply and said, "We will definitely catch up... Cheers."
