Video and Twitter reactions: Daniel Vettori takes a one-handed stunning catch at World Cup

Wellington, March 21: He is one of the oldest players at ICC World Cup 2015. But that did not stop New Zealand's Daniel Vettori from pulling off a stunning one-handed catch during their quarter-final against West Indies today.

Vettori, at 36 years, showed how good a fielder he can be at this age when most cricketers will be contemplating retirement.

Daniel Vettori - Is he 36?

The left-hander's outstanding catch came on the first ball of the 10th over bowled by Trent Boult. Marlon Samuels smashed the ball towards third man where Vettori just leapt and grabbed the ball with his left hand. The entire stadium was stunned and so was the batsman.

Looking at this, Vettori's teammates rushed towards him and congratulated. Soon, 'What a catch' and Vettori started trending on Twitter. The fielder's reaction was so cool. He completed the catch and just stood there as if it was an easy take.

Earlier, Martin Guptill smashed a record 237 not out as New Zealand amassed 393/6 in 50 overs.
