The 36-year-old New Zealander, who quit international cricket after the final of the ICC World Cup 2015 in Melbourne last Sunday, said the team combination looked good after auction as some much-needed players were picked.

Dashing batsmen AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle will join the team in Kolkata along with captain Virat Kohli and some other foreign players.

The RCB finished runners-up in the 2009 & 2011 editions

Vettori said he had the confidence in his players to make a smooth transition into the T20 format after an emotional World Cup. De Villiers, who captained South Africa in the World Cup, was left in tears along with many of his players after losing to New Zealand in the semifinal in Auckland.
