RCB will take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in their opening match of this edition on April 11 and Vettori said he was excited about the tournament.
Dashing batsmen AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle will join the team in Kolkata along with captain Virat Kohli and some other foreign players.
The RCB finished runners-up in the 2009 & 2011 editions
Vettori said he had the confidence in his players to make a smooth transition into the T20 format after an emotional World Cup. De Villiers, who captained South Africa in the World Cup, was left in tears along with many of his players after losing to New Zealand in the semifinal in Auckland.
