Liverpool, Nov 4: After crashing out of the Capital One Cup against Swansea at Anfield, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will be looking for his second home win this Premier League season against Newcastle United.

Newcastle have not won at Anfield since 1994 while Liverpool have not won back-to-back home games in 14 months.

The Reds, currently at the bottom half of the table, can earn a top 10 finish with three points but the burden falls on one man, Luis Suarez who has scored six out of the sides 11 goals this season.

Rodgers is likely bring in his first team players after making wholesale changes for the clash agaisnt his former side.

However, Glen Johnson and goalkeeper Pepe Reina are major doubts with their hamstring problem but face a fitness test for clash against Newcastle.

Liverpool do not have fresh injury concerns but long-term absentees Lucas Leiva, Martin Kelly and Fabio Borini remain sidelined.

Meanwhile, Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote will miss out due to his three-match suspension for a straight red card against Sunderland.

Magpies striker Demba Ba, who is recovering from a calf injury, is likely to be fit for the match at Anfield.
